When one thinks of the Outer Banks I would bet images of rolling surf from the oceans, windswept sand dunes from the beaches, and mega Oceanfront Rental Homes come to mind. While this is quite normal for a lot of Outer Banks vacationers, it is not the only thing that the true North Carolina Coastal lover looks forward to.
The Sounds (body of water between the mainland and the barrier islands) have long been considered natures' playground for many tourists and locals alike. The Sounds of the Outer Banks are an adventure all to themselves. Here you will find one of the richest wildlife ecosystems in the country, perfect warm waters for fishing, and unbelievable natural conditions for water sports like Windsurfing, Kite Boarding, and jet skiing.
During the last building boom the Oceanfront was the hot ticket when it came to new construction. Everybody salivated over any Oceanfront parcel that came available on the market. Now that the Oceanfront is mainly built out, people are starting to focus their attention back to the majestic Soundfront land still available. For the first time in nearly 30 years, a new condominium community is being built in the heart of Nags Head. The Landings at Sugar Creek is not just another development, it is a step back in time using the "Old Nags Head" architecture in order to fit in with its surroundings. Now I know this is coming off as a sales pitch (and it is supposed to, my company has the listing on the community) but I truly believe in what the developers are trying to accomplish by finally creating a community that not only the 45 potential owners will appreciate, but the entire Outer Banks as well.
